Job Description

Position Summary The Assembler I is an entry level position responsible for performing basic assembly operations on a range of industrial pumps and pump subassemblies and components in the production of the company's related line of pumps. This role involves assembling mechanical parts, following product drawings and work instructions, using hand and power tools, and ensuring our products meet quality standards. Essential Functions and Basic Duties Use online computers to view work instructions, production drawings as well as track labor. Assemble pump and pump components in accordance with work instructions and product drawings. Conduct visual and basic functional checks to verify assemble compliance to drawings. Use of hand tools, including pneumatic and electric drivers, to perform assembly tasks. Perform online testing of final assemblies, using a variety of analog, digital and automated test equipment. Ability to final pack finished product in bulk and individual pack as outlined in specifications. Ability to perform basic product troubleshooting skills when required. Observe and adhere to all ISO and safety procedures. Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area. Ability to move around the plant floor as production requires. Other duties as assigned. Education/Certification High School Graduate or Equivalent. Experience Required 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment. Prior assembly experience preferred but not necessary. Required Knowledge Basic computer skills. Basic ability to read product drawings. Familiarity with assembly tools and equipment. Skills/Abilities Strong focus on safety, quality, teamwork and attention to detail. Visual acuity to inspect small parts and read documentation. Basic troubleshooting skills on a smaller variety of company pump and pump components. Ability to closely follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with various team members through the company. Physical Activities and Requirements of this Position Manual dexterity for operating hand tools and handling small components. Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Ability to move and/or lift at least 10 pounds. Ability to access tools and parts. Ability to frequently operate pneumatic and electric tools. Ability to wear proper PPE as required. Working Conditions Typical manufacturing environment to include fluctuating temperatures. May be exposed to noise, dust, oil and other industrial elements. Testing Requirement Job specific testing is required along with pre-employment drug screen and background check.
