Mechanical products includes wheel kits assembled using hand, power, and pneumatic tools. Electrical products include metal detectors and cables assembled using hand tools, soldering tools and computer controlled testing equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Complete assembly of mechanical and electrical parts and assemblies. Package finished goods and applies required labeling. Follows written documentation including assembly procedures, drawings, bill of materials and other quality documents. Meets standard process routing times.
Percentage of time:
70% Complete in process inspections and testing of assembled parts. Identify non-conforming (defective) parts and follows appropriate quality procedures.
Percentage of time:
10% Complete modification of finished good products following written procedures.
Percentage of time:
10% Complete evaluation of finished products returned from customers following written procedures.
Percentage of time:
10% Assembly and soldering of cable and electrical assemblies. On the job training provide for soldering and assembly of cable assemblies. Once trained, production assembler shall be proficient in cable assembly tasks. Production environment is located in a modern, climate controlled, clean and organized facility. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physically lifting items up to 35lbs is required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities are required by this position that include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:
1-2 years manufacturing experience desired by not required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to use hand, power and pneumatic tools. Ability to follow written procedures, read and understand bill of materials and basic assembly drawings. Basic understanding of personal computers running Microsoft Windows. Ability to open files and documents and read email required. Able to work independently or as a team member in an evenly paced production environment and perform repetitive work.
