Job Description

The Voto Manufacturers Sales Company Inc is an

2015 certified company. We distribute over 1,000 national brands of industrial products offered by more than 800 American manufacturers targeted to the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment. More than a distributor, we also specialize in made-to-order assemblies for industrial hose applications, wire rope products, synthetic rope, and chain. In 1981, the Company was organized into an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), which provides for additional employee retirement funds. Additionally, as an ESOP, each employee can become an owner-participant in the Company. Voto Sales Commitment is to Provide Excellence Through Quality and Efficiency As an experienced Hydraulic/Pneumatic Hose Fabricator/Assembler, you will perform a variety of duties to customize heavy duty industrial rubber/metal, etc hydraulic and pneumatic hoses to customer specifications, by identifying thread connections and end fittings, selecting hose type, cutting, fabricating, checking tolerance, and pressure testing hose assemblies.
Hose Fabricator/Assembler duties and responsibilities:
Prepare work to be accomplished by reviewing and gathering related parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials Position parts and subassemblies by reading templates, assembly instructions, or measurements Interpret and verify precise measurements using a tape measure or calipers Create assemblies/attach fittings and parts using hand tools or machines Verify/Check assembly components by examining connections/components for correct specifications, fit, fastening parts, and subassemblies Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor and interacting with the inside sales/purchasing departments when necessary to obtain additional resources Successfully complete production/assembly of finished products according to customer specifications Offer customer service, answers to product questions, and order intake to potential inperson and telephone customers, and enter sales orders into computerHelp keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions Help maintain inventory by checking stock to determine supply levels Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Document actions by completing production and quality forms Hose Fabricator/Assembler skills and qualifications:
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE FABRICATING INDUSTRIAL/HYDRAULIC HOSE ASSEMBLIES
Mechanical, technical, computer, and strong math skills Physical stamina and strength for manipulating 150lbs Safety management mindset Focus on quality control Dexterity and handeye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED Must pass a pre-employment drug screen (including Marijuana) Must agree to background screening Able to lift/manipulate up to 150lbs
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE FABRICATING INDUSTRIAL/HYDRAULIC HOSE ASSEMBLIES
Desired characteristics: At least 6 months experience in hose assembly/manual fabrication Ability and desire to quickly learn new processes and systems Reliability and consistency in work ethic Honesty, integrity, and professionalism

$19.00•$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
8 hour shift, Monday to Friday Morning shift: 7 am•3:30 pm or 7:30 am•4:00 pm
