Job Description

Job Title:
Assembler Job Description This role involves performing repetitive workstation or line assembly operations to build knife components into fully assembled products using hand and power tools. You will learn and rotate through all assembly stations by the end of training, ensuring consistent product quality and adherence to safety standards. The position requires strong manual dexterity, clear communication, and keen attention to detail while working with small parts in a fast-paced production environment. Responsibilities Perform repetitive workstation and assembly line operations to assemble knife components into completed knives. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform mechanical assembly tasks. Learn and competently perform all assembly stations by the end of the training period. Work with small parts and follow multiple sequential steps to complete each assembly accurately. Meet daily production numbers and contribute to a results-driven manufacturing environment. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, organized, and orderly condition. Follow prescribed safety regulations and demonstrate safety-minded behavior on the production floor. Stay focused and on task in a fast-paced environment with intense deadlines in certain departments. Perform other duties as assigned to support overall production and team goals. Essential Skills Strong manual dexterity to handle small parts and perform precise assembly work. Good attitude and clear communication skills to work effectively in a team environment. High level of attention to detail to ensure quality and consistency in assembled products. Ability to stand for the entire shift while performing repetitive tasks. Ability to work with small parts and follow multiple steps in the correct sequence. Capability to remember and perform multiple steps consistently throughout the shift. Mechanical aptitude and experience with mechanical assembly or manufacturing environments. Comfort using hand tools and basic power tools in a production setting. Ability to pass a knife assembly test as part of the qualification process. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in assembly, production, or manufacturing environments. Experience working on assembly lines or in fast-paced, results-driven settings. Demonstrated ability to stay focused and on task under time-sensitive deadlines. Strong safety mindset and willingness to follow all safety procedures and guidelines. Why Work Here? The facility emphasizes safety and seeks individuals who are safety minded and able to stay on task throughout the shift. You will stand for most or all of the shift while working at assembly lines or workstations with hand and power tools in a bright, organized production area. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
