Grantsville, MD Project Duration:
6-8
Months Pay Rate:
$26•32/hour (based on experience)
Per Diem:
$100/day, paid 7 days per week for qualified travelers
Schedule:
50-60+ Hours per Week Shift Schedules 1st
Shift Monday-Friday:
6:00 AM•4:30
PM Saturday:
6:00 AM•12:00 PM 2nd
Shift Monday-Thursday:
4:00 PM•2:00 AM Additional hours available on Fridays and Saturdays Paid Lunches Included Job Overview Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Structural Fitters and Fabricators for a long-term shop project in Grantsville, MD. This is a travel position offering consistent overtime, paid lunches, and per diem for qualified candidates. The ideal candidate will have experience fitting and fabricating structural steel components, reading blueprints, and performing tack welds using MIG welding process. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication plans Fit and assemble structural steel components according to specifications Perform tack welding (MIG) to secure assemblies Verify measurements, alignments, and tolerances for accuracy Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Work effectively with team members to meet production schedules and project deadlines Requirements Previous experience in structural fitting and fabrication Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings Experience using common fabrication tools and measuring equipment Must possess a 25-foot tape measure and needle-nose pliers Ability to work overtime and maintain reliable attendance Must pass all pre-employment screenings, including drug testing and background check Reliable transportation Strong work ethic and commitment to safety Benefits 401(k) Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Referral Program If you are an experienced Structural Fitter or Fabricator looking for steady work, overtime opportunities, and a long-term project, apply today! #skilltravel
