reviews $18 an hour Assembly Technician Position Summary The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, repairing, and preparing industrial equipment and components at our shop in Cleveland, TX. This position supports daily operations by using hand and power tools, following work instructions, and completing assigned tasks safely and efficiently. Successful candidates should be dependable, mechanically inclined, and committed to producing quality work. Qualifications 1-2 years of industrial, construction, fabrication, or assembly experience preferred. Basic knowledge of hand and power tools required. Ability to read and follow drawings, diagrams, and work instructions. Willingness to work with insulation materials, including ceramic and fiberglass products, when needed. Forklift experience preferred. TWIC Card, Basic Plus, or OSHA 10 certification preferred. Ability to work well in a team environment and follow directions. Responsibilities Assemble, install, and repair industrial components and equipment. Perform measuring, cutting, grinding, drilling, bolting, and insulation work as required. Assist with expansion joint and belt assembly, installation, and splicing operations. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, impact guns, plasma cutters, and other shop equipment. Read and work from blueprints, drawings, and sketches. Use measurement tools accurately to ensure quality work. Load, unload, and move materials and equipment as needed. Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized. Accurately record time worked using company systems. Follow all safety policies and maintain a Safety First attitude. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting. Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements. Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds with assistance when necessary. Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial shop environment.
