Job Description
Assemble precision mechanical assemblies in accordance with established standards. Troubleshoot any anomalies of the assembles. Make recommendations to Engineering Responsibilities Assemble precision parts requiring close fits. Set and verify parts clearances. Rework, repair, or replace damaged parts or assemblies. Read and interpret assembly blueprints or specifications manuals and plan assembly or building operations. Test completed assemblies to specifications. Engage in repair business with disassembly and installing new parts selected by Assembler. Verify conformance of parts to Bill of Materials and make recommendations for changes to Engineering. Maintain an accurate inventory when using parts for assemblies Create shipping containers from scratch (plywood etc) Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Production Supervisor. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent 3 years in assembly and test of precision mechanical parts Troubleshooting — Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it. Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
