POSITION SUMMARY
Hours:
Mon-Friday 7:30am-4pm The HVAC Assembler is responsible for assembling, aligning, and adjusting fabricated parts, components, or units according to detailed specifications and established manufacturing procedures in an HVAC production environment. The role requires the operation and maintenance of various hand tools, power tools, and assembly line equipment to ensure all units are properly assembled. The assembler will also test, calibrate, and inspect parts to ensure compliance with product tolerances, specifications, and quality standards. If necessary, the assembler will repair or refit components to meet these standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assemble HVAC ductwork and components
Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and other assembly equipment to complete HVAC ductwork
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
Adhere to standard operating procedures and manufacturing best practices to ensure timely and accurate assembly of HVAC systems
Operate equipment with manual and automated production processes.
Meet and/or exceed daily production goals.
Report all machine malfunctions to mechanics or supervisors.
Assist mechanics whenever required to keep equipment operational.
Manually pack components into packaging containers.
Strive to keep product waste to a minimum; inspect finished products.
Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes, but is not limited to the ability to work overtime as required, to be present at work, arrive on time and be at the work station ready for work at the start of the shift.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The position typically requires standing for long periods and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Work is performed in a manufacturing setting with fluctuating noise levels, including the operation of machinery and tools.
The environment may have varying temperatures, exposure to insulation, and varying weather conditions, depending on the facility.
Must be able to work with fiberglass insulation.
Employees are exposed to conveyors, moving parts, and other automated equipment, requiring careful attention and adherence to safety protocols.
May be required to lift and move heavy parts or components.
Use of safety gear such as gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection is mandatory to ensure personal safety.
