Full Job Description Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading and interpreting measurements. Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies securely. Verifies specifications by measuring completed components to ensure accuracy and compliance with requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and decimals. MRP (Material Requirements Planning) experience is a plus.
Skills:
Basic mathematical skills. Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and blueprints. Strong attention to detail. Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring instruments.
Personal Attributes:
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dependable and safety conscious.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Stand for extended periods (often 8-12-hour shifts). Walk between workstations or production areas. Bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch as needed. Lift and carry materials (commonly 25-50 lbs.) Push/pull carts or equipment. Handle small parts with precision. Strong hand-eye coordination. Ability to use hand and power tools repeatedly. Fine motor skills for small or detailed components. Perform repetitive assembly tasks. Maintain consistent pace throughout shift.
