Job Summary:
The Structural Fabrication Technician is responsible for fitting, assembling, and preparing steel components for production. This role involves reading blueprints, measuring materials, operating fabrication equipment, and ensuring parts are built accurately and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings. Measure, mark, and prepare materials for fabrication. Align and fit steel components using hand tools and shop equipment. Operate fabrication tools, torches, and welding equipment as needed. Tack weld parts together when required. Clean and prepare materials for assembly. Follow all safety procedures and company policies. Meet daily production and quality goals.
Requirements Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year fabrication, fitting, or welding experience preferred. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Experience using hand tools, welding equipment, and fabrication tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs. Ability to stand, bend, twist, and reach for extended periods of time. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment requiring PPE.
