Responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing aircraft structures, surfaces, rigging, and systems according to engineering specifications and safety standards. Tasks include interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings to accurately assemble structural components and subassemblies. Inspect parts for defects and proper alignment, ensuring all assemblies meet quality and regulatory requirements. Utilize various hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to fabricate, fit, and join metal and composite materials. Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve assembly challenges and improve processes. Perform adjustments to rigging, flight control surfaces, landing gear, and hydraulic systems to ensure functionality and compliance. Conduct tests and troubleshoot mechanical and structural issues, documenting findings and repairs. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures. Support continuous improvement by providing feedback and suggestions to enhance productivity and quality.
Required skills include:
  • Strong understanding of aircraft assembly techniques, materials, and tools
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documentation
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or as part of a team
  • Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems is preferred
  • Attention to detail, dexterity, and problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to safety and high standards of workmanship Physical requirements may include standing for extended periods, lifting heavy components, and working in confined spaces.
Previous experience in aerospace manufacturing or aircraft maintenance is highly desirable.
