Full-Time Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Truck Upfitter to join our team. The Truck Upfitter will be responsible for installing, modifying, and assembling aftermarket equipment on medium duty commercial vehicles. This includes but is not limited to truck mounted attenuators , flatbeds, toolboxes, liftgates, lighting systems, hydraulic systems, and other specialty accessories.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, assemble, and modify truck bodies, shelving, racks, and custom accessories. Mount and wire lighting, electrical systems, and other components. Work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems for vehicle modifications. Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and schematics to ensure proper installation. Safely operate power tools, hand tools, and fabrication equipment. Conduct quality checks to ensure proper function and alignment of installed equipment. Troubleshoot and repair issues related to installed components. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols. Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in truck upfitting, automotive customization, fabrication, or a related field preferred. Basic knowledge of automotive electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift up to 150 lbs and work in physically demanding environments. Valid driver's license
