Assembly Technician I Karl Storz Endoscopy United States, Texas, Stafford May 13, 2026 KARL STORZ is a global leader in medical technology, committed to advancing patient care through innovative solutions. The OR1 Stafford facility plays a key role in supporting integrated operating room systems through high-quality production, assembly, and logistics operations. We are seeking a Production & Assembly Technician who is detail-oriented, dependable, and motivated to contribute to a regulated manufacturing environment focused on quality and precision. Position Overview This role supports the assembly, testing, and logistical operations of medical devices in accordance with established standard operating procedures (SOPs), FDA regulations, and quality system requirements. The technician will contribute to production workflow, inventory processes, and documentation standards to ensure compliance and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Assemble, wire, and test audio/visual and electro-mechanical medical devices in accordance with SOPs Follow established production processes and work instructions to ensure consistent output Maintain detailed and accurate documentation to ensure traceability and regulatory compliance Ensure all activities comply with Class I and Class II medical device regulations, GMP, and internal quality systems Complete production orders within defined timelines Perform product modifications in accordance with approved procedures Support shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order processing activities Inspect incoming components and materials Maintain workflow efficiency and adherence to cost-control guidelines Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational needs Uphold a professional and positive working environment Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent 1-2 years of relevant work experience Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain high accuracy Strong communication and teamwork skills Demonstrated dependability and ability to meet deadlines Ability to maintain accurate production and documentation records Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly, AV systems, or electronic media systems Associate degree or relevant technical certifications Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and system design drawings Working knowledge of audio/visual connectivity and signal flow Skills and Competencies Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Attention to detail in a regulated environment Ability to adapt to changing priorities and production demands Professional communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle detailed and sometimes sensitive information with sound judgment Work Environment and Physical Requirements Ability to sit and stand throughout the workday Frequent use of hand tools and manual dexterity Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds May require bending, squatting, and repetitive motion Must maintain a strong commitment to safety at all times Additional Information Work is performed under close supervision with responsibility for routine tasks This role does not include supervisory responsibilities Minimal financial or budgetary impact No travel required Equal Opportunity Employer
