As the Tier 1 Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for precision assembly, process refinement, guiding documented processes, and collaborating with team members towards a common goal.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES MAY INCLUDE
30 days and ongoing: Learns Puget Systems' services, processes, procedures, and its position in the industry to align with its overall mission. Attends new hire orientation and engages with meet-and-greets with all departments. Completes prerequisite training for new hires through the Learning Management System (LMS) Is proficient with the Phase 1 Assembly process. Achieves proficiency with three primary chassis through a combination of training sessions led by experienced team members, shadowing, and hands-on training opportunities. Attends and actively participates in departmental, cross-departmental meetings, and all-staff meetings. Participates in monthly one-on-one meetings with the Direct Manager and the Team Lead to discuss progress, achievements, and areas for further development. By 60 days, is proficient with Phase 2 Assembly processes. 3-6 months and ongoing: Demonstrates proficiency in RAID configuration, building quantities of 3 or more systems with minimal errors, and executing the rework and tear-down process. Learns the intricacies of configurations containing multiple GPUs Is a fully contributing Tier 1 Assembly Technician, demonstrating proficiency in handling builds with minimal oversight and operating with little to no limitations. Demonstrates familiarity of the assembly process and assembly Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) enabling informed decision-making without affecting the customer experience. 12 months and ongoing: Contributes to the maintenance and provides constructive feedback for process improvement of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and ensures ongoing updates for accuracy and relevance. Is proficient in server assembly showcasing expertise in the systematic, and efficient, construction of server systems and has shadowed at least one other department, gaining valuable insights into their operations and processes.
EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience highly preferred Familiarity with Google Suite (i.e. Google Drive, including Docs, Sheets, Calendar, and Gmail) nice to have Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time required Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times required
COMPENSATION & COMPANY BENEFITS INCLUDE
The compensation range is $20.00
- $24.00 (hourly), based on skillset and experience level Benefits include : Medical, Dental, and Vision offered and covered at 75% by Puget Systems for the Employee's coverage Paid time off and Sick Time
