Repair Technician Job summary:
The Repair Technician's primary responsibility will be to repair customer's bulk feed body trucks and maintain the company's truck and trailer fleet.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Feed body repairs and remounts, including aluminum & steel welding, wiring, hydraulics, motor, and valve replacements
  • Troubleshoot remote control issues
  • Make hydraulic hoses
  • Monitor and track hydraulic fittings inventory
  • Participate in new feed body builds including the following: Mounting Wiring for brake lights, running lights, chassis connections, etc. Wiring of remote controls Wiring of cooling fans, low oil pressure units, etc.
  • Maintain MWM's fleet of trucks and trailers (including oil changes, lights, etc.)
  • Assist in other manufacturing or repair departments, as needed (paint booth, sandblasting, fabrication, and possibly road crew on occasion)
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Experience with, or willingness to learn, the following machinery/tools.
Not limited to:
Shear Brake press Iron workers Drill press Roller Band saw Chop saw Bench grinder Belt sander
  • Ability to perform basic welding tasks
  • Self-motivated, willing to work with others, and have a desire to produce quality work
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Can shift between being a team-player and working independently
  • Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms
  • Shows initiative, possess personal accountability and be reliable
  • Ability to provide own tools (tool list provided upon employment)
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma
  • Experience with low voltage electric, lighting, and hydraulics relating to vehicles or trucks
  • General vehicle repair and maintenance experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • 1-3 years MIG welding experience preferred (aluminum and mild steel)
Physical Requirements:
  • Lift at least 50 pounds
  • Climb and maintain balance while working on a ladder
  • Stand for prolonged periods on concrete floors
  • Perform overhead work
  • Perform work while frequently bending, squatting, kneeling
Job Type:

$20.00 - $27.00 per hour
