Job Title:
Plant Manager Poultry Processing Operations (Large-Scale Manufacturing) Client seeking for an experienced and results-driven Plant Manager to lead a high-volume poultry processing facility operating multiple production lines and a large workforce. This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for plant operations, performance, safety, quality, and financial outcomes. Position Overview The Plant Manager will oversee end-to-end operations of a large-scale poultry processing facility, ensuring efficient production, strong quality standards, and optimal cost performance. This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive execution in a fast-paced, continuous production environment while building a strong culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence. The facility operates extended hours and includes multiple processing lines supporting deboning, portioning, and value-added poultry products. Key Responsibilities Lead overall plant operations including production, quality, safety, maintenance, and workforce management Oversee multiple production lines including deboning, portioning, and dicing operations Take full ownership of plant performance including P&L, cost control, yield improvement, and labor efficiency Develop and execute production plans aligned with demand forecasts and supply chain requirements Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve throughput, reduce waste, and enhance productivity Ensure accurate management of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory Maintain strict adherence to food safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance Lead and develop a large workforce across multiple shifts, fostering strong employee engagement and accountability Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, sales, and maintenance to meet operational goals Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions to ensure consistent plant performance Qualifications 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in poultry, meat, or protein processing environments Proven experience managing large-scale manufacturing operations (500+ employees preferred) Strong expertise in deboning and portioning operations within poultry processing Demonstrated experience in P&L management and cost optimization Strong background in production planning, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement Excellent leadership presence with ability to manage and influence large teams Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and execution skills in a high-speed manufacturing environment Key Competencies Operational leadership at scale Financial and cost accountability (P&L ownership) Lean manufacturing / continuous improvement mindset Workforce leadership and team development Production optimization and yield improvement Strong safety and quality orientation
