Manufacturing Manager Gilbert, AZ $52.00 - $76.00/hr 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Contract Position (Can go Direct Hire any time after 3 months) Manufacturing Manager - Aerospace & Electronics Manufacturing An industry-leading aerospace and electronics manufacturer is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to support advanced manufacturing operations in Gilbert, Arizona. This role is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing leader with strong experience in electronics manufacturing, circuit card assemblies, SMT processes, continuous improvement, and team leadership within a high-mix, low-volume production environment. The Manufacturing Manager will oversee manufacturing processes, lead Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians, drive operational excellence initiatives, and support the successful launch and improvement of complex aerospace and electronics products. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage Manufacturing Engineers and Manufacturing Technicians to achieve production, quality, safety, and delivery objectives. Oversee qualification and implementation of manufacturing processes for new product development and existing production programs. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, process stability, labor reduction, and manufacturing optimization. Develop and maintain manufacturing procedures, operation sequences, work instructions, and process documentation. Establish labor standards, production routing, cost estimates, and economic run quantities. Support automation initiatives and implementation of manufacturing technologies and equipment. Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to resolve manufacturing and process issues. Review product designs and drawings to ensure manufacturability and production readiness. Mentor Manufacturing Engineering staff on manufacturing best practices and process development. Support tooling, fixture design, NC programming, process prove-outs, and rework processes. Participate in proposal support, project planning, and manufacturing cost estimating. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Travel up to 10% as required. Required Qualifications Minimum 8 years of manufacturing engineering and/or operations experience in a manufacturing environment. Minimum 3 years of direct leadership or management experience. Experience with circuit card assembly manufacturing and sensitive electronic assemblies. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes from raw materials through finished goods. Knowledge of IPC standards and NASA manufacturing standards. Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and presentation skills. Experience working in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field. Six Sigma Certification and/or Lean Manufacturing Certification. Hands-on experience operating and setting up SMT equipment. Experience with electronics assembly manufacturing processes.
