Job Description

OmniMax International, Inc. headquartered in Norcross, GA is an international building products company manufacturing aluminum, steel, vinyl and copper products. Core products include specialty coated coils, metal wall and roof systems, metal and vinyl rain carrying systems, soffit and fascia systems, roofing accessories, aluminum and vinyl windows and doors, patio products, aluminum recreational vehicle doors, windows and sidewalls and aluminum bath and shower enclosures. Products are then represented in the market by multiple brands such as Amerimax, Fabral and Euramax Coated Products. The strength of the business model is the supply of fabricated components to original equipment manufacturers, distributors, contractors and home centers throughout North America and Western Europe. We recognize that in any business it is people who make the difference. We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, result driven operations professional to join our Speciality operations group. We are searching for Plant Manager for our Specialty manufacturing plant in Stayton, OR. This person will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities of production department(s) in processing materials or manufacturing products in industrial organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. This job must be carried out in compliance with the OmniMax Code of Business Ethics and Conduct, Omnimax policies and procedures as well as all Federal, State, and Local laws, including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES & TASKS
(list in order): Implement the company's safety program to ensure safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment. Has the primary duty of managing a department and directs the work of two or more subordinates. Recommend the hiring, firing, discipline, promotion, demotion of employees within span of control. Resolves worker grievances/complaints or submits unsettled grievances to next level of management for action. Effectively communicate departmental and plant wide goals to employees in a productive manner. Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations. Plan production operations, while establishing priorities and sequencing for manufacturing products. Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications. Reviews production scrap and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
QUALIFICATIONS
: Must be skilled at team building, establishing expectations and accountabilities for employees within span of control. Exercises discretion and independent judgment in performing his/her work, and is able to solve issues within their department's span of control. Ability to work with mathematical equations Must possess excellent communications skills involving groups and individuals. Must have production knowledge and ability to lead team members
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or similar supervisory experience required.
Experience:
3 to 5 years recent supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $100k/yr-$125k/yr.
