Manufacturing Production Manager

Job Summary The Production Manager will oversee the daily operations of our laser and amplifier manufacturing lines. You will be responsible for ensuring that all products are manufactured efficiently, meet rigorous quality standards, and stay on schedule to satisfy customer demand. As a key leader in a small team, you will drive continuous improvement, manage resources, and collaborate closely with Engineering to transition new products from design to full-scale production. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate all aspects of manufacturing production to meet quality, safety, and efficiency targets. Develop and implement production schedules using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such as SAP to optimize resource utilization and meet delivery deadlines. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by applying lean manufacturing principles and process improvement strategies to reduce waste and enhance productivity. Manage supply chain logistics and analytics to ensure timely procurement of materials, inventory control, and seamless operations across the supply chain. Oversee plant management functions including equipment maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting, and process optimization to maximize uptime. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on production planning, quality control, and assembly processes to uphold product standards. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operations management, quality metrics, and supply chain efficiency to identify areas for enhancement. Requirements Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of supply chain management and operations management principles. Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms; experience with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is highly desirable. Solid knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies, process improvement techniques, and quality control standards. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and oversee maintenance activities effectively. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams, foster collaboration, and promote a safety-first culture. Excellent analytical skills with experience in supply chain analytics to support data-driven decision-making.
