  • $90,000 per year (DOE) About the role We are seeking an experienced Production Manager (Manufacturing) to lead first-shift manufacturing and packaging operations in a fast-paced plant environment.
This hands-on leadership role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and team performance across multiple production lines. The ideal candidate has strong manufacturing leadership experience and a proven track record of improving performance through Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement (5S, Kaizen) . This role requires a leader who is highly visible on the production floor and effective in developing and coaching production teams. This position requires fluency in English and Spanish , including the ability to translate technical manufacturing information. A technical Spanish speaking assessment will be part of the interview process. Key Responsibilities Lead daily manufacturing and packaging operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production. Manage multiple production lines, supervisors, and production staff to achieve production goals. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S, Kaizen, and root cause analysis. Monitor and improve key performance metrics such as OEE, throughput, downtime, labor efficiency, and schedule adherence. Maintain a strong presence on the production floor to identify issues and implement corrective actions in real time. Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Coach, mentor, and develop production supervisors and team members through training, performance management, and cross-training initiatives. Manage labor utilization, overtime, and operational costs while supporting productivity, profitability, and customer delivery objectives. Experience Required for Your Success Biggest requirements are: High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, or related field preferred). 5+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience Needs to be fluent in Spanish and be able to translate technically ( interview process includes a technical speaking assessment ) Experience managing multiple production lines and frontline supervisors Lean Manufacturing / continuous improvement experience Six Sigma and/or Lean certification Proven success improving manufacturing efficiency Labor planning, productivity, and cost control experience ERP and production reporting tool experience (get specific system names)
