Role:
The Production Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing production operations to deliver safe, high-quality products on time and at target cost. This role leads supervisors and front-line teams, develops production strategy and schedules, drives continuous improvement and cost control, and collaborates cross-functionally with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to scale operations and meet business objectives. Impact:
Build and lead the 2nd shift team, establishing processes that enable Skydio's capacity expansion. Manage change control and ensure smooth execution of production changeovers. Own daily production performance and escalate or resolve issues that impact throughput, quality, or delivery. Develop and implement reporting and communication strategies to ensure seamless handoffs between 1st and 2nd shifts. Coordinate with Supply Chain and Quality to ensure material availability, and with Maintenance to maximize asset reliability and minimize downtime. What Makes You a
Good Fit:
5-10 years of manufacturing experience with progressive leadership responsibility; at least 3 years managing supervisors or teams. Proven track record driving continuous improvement and building flexible, sustainable solutions that scale. Demonstrated experience with production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar). Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Compensation:
At Skydio, our compensation packages for regular, full-time employees include competitive base salaries, equity in the form of stock options, and comprehensive benefits packages. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. Relocation assistance may also be provided for eligible roles. The annual base salary range for this position is $110,000-$156,000•.
