Job Overview:
The Continuous Improvement Supervisor focuses on optimizing the interconnected components of a manufacturing system (e.g. personnel work flow or ergonomics, materials logistics, production process sequence, and equipment layouts, etc.) via Lean Manufacturing tools. Key Mission Supervise, coach, and develop CI team members, ensuring effective execution of CI initiatives Plan, prioritize, and oversee CI projects to achieve operational objectives and KPI targets Improve implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles and utilization of Six Sigma methodologies to develop and maintain robust manufacturing processes to increase productivity, reduce variation, eliminate waste, and minimize assembly and test cycle times. Continuously develop a better production/logistics flow in collaboration with the other teams to remove operational bottlenecks and improve floor performance Analyze the daily production data regarding OTD, OEE, productivity and propose action plans Lead problem-solving sessions and support the team in identifying corrective actions for recurring operational issues Utilize Lean Manufacturing tools to drive improvement (SIM, 5S, Kaizen, SMED, TPM, Poka Yoke, PDCA, A3/8D analysis, etc.) Lead and collaborate with cross functional internal teams focused on shop floor factory improvements, which could include CAPEX. Work in 4x shifts when necessary to drive improvements Report risks and project status directly to the Senior Manager Quality and Continuous Improvement Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in industrial engineering Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing. Green or Black Belt Six Sigma certification is a plus. Minimum of one year of leadership experience Technical skills allowing team-work with the engineering department Strong leadership skills to motivate and influence teams Good communication skills: be able to run meetings/trainings, drive actions plans with many contributors Aptitude for troubleshooting and solving problems Proficient with computer systems and programs (MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, querying databases, ERP systems, etc.) English (read, written, spoken) mandatory. Spanish is a plus.
