We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Production Planning & Inventory Manager to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring efficient production scheduling, inventory accuracy, and operational excellence while working closely with manufacturing, purchasing, customer service, and warehouse teams. Position Overview The Production Planning / Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing all production planning and inventory control activities within the manufacturing facility. This includes managing raw materials, components, and finished goods inventory while ensuring accurate inventory records, proper material flow, and ERP system integrity within NetSuite. This role works closely with Production, Purchasing, and Shipping teams to ensure materials are available to meet production schedules, inventory accuracy is maintained, and established inventory control procedures are followed. The Production Planning / Inventory Manager supervises planning and inventory control personnel and is responsible for maintaining efficient inventory operations throughout the facility. This position requires strong hands-on experience with inventory workflows, material movement procedures, and scanning compliance to ensure all inventory transactions are properly recorded and inventory accuracy is maintained. Primary Responsibilities - Production Planning & ERP Management
  • Oversee the production planning process, including the creation and management of manufacturing work orders for stock and make-to-order demand.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of production activity within the ERP system (NetSuite/WMS).
  • Monitor open and partial work orders and coordinate with Production Planners to ensure timely completion.
  • Ensure all work orders are completed and closed in real time to maintain accurate system records.
  • Support production scheduling by ensuring materials are available when required. Inventory Control & Accuracy
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels for raw materials, components, and finished goods.
  • Ensure all materials pulled for orders are properly scanned and match corresponding bill of lading and shipping documentation.
  • Ensure finished goods and components are scanned in and out of designated inventory locations.
  • Monitor inventory transactions to ensure compliance with scanning procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies according to established company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the NetSuite WMS system.
  • Conduct and oversee cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy.
  • Identify and address damaged, mislabeled, or incorrectly stocked materials.
  • Monitor and manage slow-moving, obsolete, or excess inventory. Inventory Process Management
  • Ensure all inventory workflows and material movement procedures are followed consistently.
  • Verify that all materials are properly scanned in and out of locations during receiving, production, and shipping activities.
  • Monitor inventory transactions within the ERP/WMS system to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies related to improper scanning or process breakdowns.
  • Ensure employees follow established inventory control procedures at all times.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on inventory processes and system usage. Material Flow & Operational Support
  • Coordinate the transfer of raw materials and components to designated work centers.
  • Work with production teams to ensure materials are available to support production schedules.
  • Maintain organized staging, stock, and inventory areas.
  • Identify and resolve material shortages or delays affecting production operations. Leadership & Team Support
  • Supervise and support inventory control and production planning personnel.
  • Work closely with Shift Supervisors and Leads to ensure proper material flow.
  • Provide training on inventory procedures and ERP/WMS system usage.
  • Assist in improving inventory control procedures and operational efficiency.
  • Support cross-functional operational activities as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support business operations. Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment (lead or supervisory experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of NetSuite or similar ERP/WMS systems.
  • Experience with inventory reconciliation, cycle counting, and discrepancy investigation.
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring scanning compliance.
  • Strong understanding of inventory workflows and material movement processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email communication.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with production and warehouse teams.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in warehouse and yard environments.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions when working outdoors.
  • Must follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
