Job Description:
A well-established citrus packing operation is seeking an experienced and bilingual Plant Manager to oversee daily packing house operations in a fast-paced production environment. This leadership role is responsible for driving safe, efficient, and high-quality operations while coordinating across departments to meet production and shipping goals. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manufacturing, agriculture, food processing, or packing house operations and be comfortable leading teams in a hands-on environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily lemon packing operations including receiving, washing, grading, sizing, treatment, storage, and shipping Lead and support production supervisors and plant staff Ensure production schedules and customer shipping requirements are met Monitor quality standards, fruit segregation, and inventory accuracy Coordinate with maintenance teams to address equipment and operational issues Enforce safety, food safety, and company compliance programs Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production and operational reports Support employee training, coaching, and performance management Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency Maintain positive working relationships across departments, vendors, and growers Qualifications 5+ years of manufacturing, packing house, food production, or operations leadership experience 2+ years in a Plant Manager, Production Manager, or similar supervisory role preferred Bilingual English/Spanish required Strong leadership and employee management skills Experience managing production schedules, labor, and operational KPIs Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities Valid California Driver's License required Preferred Background Successful candidates will typically have experience in: Citrus or produce packing operations Food manufacturing or agricultural production High-volume production environments Team leadership in fast-paced operations Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Comfortable working in industrial production environments Why Apply?
