This role leads a team of packers and machine operators in a fast-paced nutraceutical manufacturing environment, ensuring efficiency, safety, and high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Supervise daily packaging operations, including assigning work schedules, monitoring output, and ensuring team compliance with procedures and quality standards. Ensure proper setup, operation, and sanitation of packaging lines. Monitor packaging productivity and implement improvements to reduce downtime and increase throughput. Collaborate with QA/QC teams to ensure product quality, accurate labeling, and traceability. Enforce compliance with cGMP, FDA
regulations, company SOPs, and safety guidelines. Maintain accurate packaging records, batch documentation, and inventory usage logs. Train and mentor packaging personnel on proper procedures, line changeovers, and safety practices. Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, and Maintenance departments to ensure timely completion of production schedules. Report equipment issues, production delays, or quality concerns to leadership. Support continuous improvement initiatives and lead root cause investigations for packaging errors or deviations. Assist in performance evaluations and contribute to team morale and accountability. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Education & Experience Associate degree or Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Manufacturing or a related field is preferred 5+ years experience of manufacturing environment in food industry preferred 3+ years of supervisory or lead experience in a packaging or manufacturing environment. Experience in a cGMP-regulated industry (nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or food preferred). Strong understanding of packaging machinery and processes, including bottling, labeling, induction sealing, lot coding, and pouching. Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems for production tracking and inventory management. Ability to read and interpret batch records, safety documents, and production schedules. Being bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Working knowledge of cGMPs, FDA regulations, and SOP compliance. Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand or walk for extended periods. Language Bilingual in English and Spanish Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and overtime Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills Detail-oriented and well-organized with strong multitasking abilities Ability to execute tasks independently and manage time effectively Dependable with minimal need for reminders Familiar with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and intermediate computer skills Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols Ability to perform basic arithmetic and convert units (pound to kilogram) Background in nutrition and food manufacturing is desirable Compliant with company policies, procedures, and safety rules Proficiency in G Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.) and\or Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,etc). Physical Requirements Work Environment The role is primarily performed on the production floor Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs unaided and perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and lifting throughout the shift. Frequently exposed to varying extreme conditions and loud noise levels. Regular use of standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required for various environments. Pay:
