Job Description
PrideStaff is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager in Vista, Ca. Looking for someone with medical device experience and Fishbowl Inventory Software Knowledge. Interested in this position and have the background we are looking for? Give us a call at (760) 438-0161.
Summary:
The Manufacturing Operations Manager will be responsible for driving results in key areas of safety, quality, productivity, inventory (procurement/management), delivery and continuous improvement for all product lines. What You Will Do Directs and drives all production lines to achieve safety, quality, productivity, on-time delivery and inventory goals. Design and implement plans for the effective use of material and labor resources to achieve manufacturing targets and goals. Drives improvements in safety, quality and operational efficiencies using the Toolbox, 5S and other production/lean methods. Work with the Safety Team to improve safety. Work collaboratively with materials management to develop plans to manage and improve inventory and delivery in adherence with inventory grading guidelines. Drives effective and consistent Toolbox projects. Manage direct reports to maximize individual, team and organizational effectiveness. Identify, lead, and develop talent to maximize individual, team and organizational effectiveness in meeting company goals. This may include selecting and on-boarding talent, communicating effectively to foster a culture of engagement, cascading vision, creating goal alignment, and coaching through feedback, development planning and performance management. Able to build and develop a strong and diverse team of direct reports. Conduct studies and research to discover a more effective approach to production. Schedule the maintenance of production equipment and machines to ensure efficient operations. Analyze and provide solutions to manufacturing challenges or problems. Monitor and control a production process to adjust operations in event of a problem. Resolves personnel problems in conjunction with appropriate supervisor/lead and Human Resources and takes action in accordance with established policies and procedures. Oversee the procurement of raw materials and equipment required for manufacturing in adherence with inventory grading guidelines. Perform special projects as requested. What We Are Looking For Bachelor's degree in a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant and progressive manufacturing management experience; experience in leading production/direct labor is required. Leadership experience with direct reports that are managing people is a plus. Proven skills operating and examining production equipment for faults and efficiency. P&L experience with inventory management, budgeting, and planning capabilities is a plus.Project Management Skills:
Able to handle a manufacturing process to ensure timely and cost-effective production.Organizational Skills:
They are adept at coordinating the different stages of manufacture to ensure seamless operations. Confident, well-rounded thinker. Is self-aware, resilient, assertive, and openly supports change. Actively committed to team development. Change agent that demonstrates original thinking, facilitation skills, and the ability to develop innovative approaches for improving workflow and processes within the ITW Business Model. Exercise considerable initiative/judgement in work methods and in interpreting and delegating work requirements/goals. Ability to lead by example, gain respect from team and communicate with clarity. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Understanding production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap and re-work. Able to work cross-functionally and collaboratively with many stakeholders. Ability to maintain a level of confidentiality required.Compensation / Pay
