Job Description

IS AER FED
division is currently seeking a Value Stream Manager. This position will be located at our Bethel, CT facility. The Value Stream Manager will lead the assembly and test operations for direct and indirect employees, and drive continuous improvements in production, quality, and safety while utilizing the framework of the Eaton Business System (EBS). This position plays a key role in the site Lean Council, Operations BOS (Business Operating System) team, and leadership for several High Performance Work Teams (HPWTs). The person in this position will direct the daily activities of a manufacturing team and develop strategic plans to guide continuous improvement activities within their assigned departments. The expectation for work hours in this role is a minimum of 45 per week and at a minimum, work the hours of 6:45 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you'll do:- Oversee and lead all activities associated with manufacturing and production of deliverable product to meet customer expectations.
- Monitor and manage direct and indirect resources in the assignment of work responsibilities, development, and alignment of resources to load.
- Champion a culture of change through the framework of HPWTs.
- Drive continuous improvement through the use of EBS, BOS, Lean, and HPWTs.
- Champion the implementation of Lean activities to eliminate waste within key processes.
- Achieve key Balanced Scorecard (BSC) metrics including Productivity, On-Time Delivery, Quality Leading Indicators, Cost of Non-Conformance (CONC) and Safety.
- Effectively forecast and achieve department/Value Stream budgets.
- Champion implementation of Eaton's Environmental, Health, & Safety system (MESH) to achieve improvement in year over year safety performance measures.
- Train and develop team members as well as provide oversight and coaching to HPWT support/functional team members.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic)Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of three (3) years progressive experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of one (1) year supervisory or project leadership experience.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience in Operations/Manufacturing.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience leading Continuous Improvement efforts or as a process engineer.
- Experience leading direct and indirect operations team members.
Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and implement change activities.
- Demonstrated ability to hold self and others accountable, ensuring deployment of key initiatives.
- Working knowledge of current manufacturing, engineering, materials management and quality assurance methods and practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate employees.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships at all levels in the organization.
- Demonstrated results in implanting Continuous Improvement tools and Management Systems.
- Strong data analytics skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools.
- Advanced working knowledge in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
