This role has a strong project management focus and is accountable for driving complex, multi-step production programs across internal supplier companies and external vendors to ensure on-time delivery, quality compliance, cost control, and schedule adherence. The Production Manager acts as the central point of coordination for production execution, managing timelines, resources, risks, and cross-functional dependencies while supporting aerospace OEM, Tier-1, and distributor requirements in a regulated AS9100 environment.
Salary:
95K-120K DOE + Full benefits. Monday - Friday 7am -4pm. Key Responsibilities Production & Project Management Own and manage production execution as a series of structured projects with defined schedules, milestones, and deliverables Develop and maintain detailed production plans, routings, and timelines for customer programs, LTAs, and complex part families Track critical path activities across machining, heat treat, finishing, inspection, and shipping Proactively identify risks, capacity constraints, and schedule conflicts Lead daily and weekly production reviews focused on project status, priorities, and recovery plans Internal Supplier Project Coordination Manage production flow and project schedules across internal affiliated supplier companies Align internal suppliers to shared milestones, priorities, and delivery commitments Establish standardized project tracking, reporting, and escalation processes across facilities Hold internal teams accountable for schedule adherence, quality, and cost targets External Vendor & Customer Communication Manage project schedules and deliverables with external vendors including plating, heat treat, grinding, coating, and specialty processes Ensure outside vendors meet defined milestones, quality requirements, and turnaround expectations Coordinate vendor capacity, lead times, and expediting for critical programs Communicate directly with OEM customers as need to provide updates on deliveries Qualifications Required 5+ years of production, operations, or project management experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing Strong project management skills Experience coordinating multiple internal operations and external suppliers simultaneously Working knowledge of AS9100 quality systems and aerospace compliance requirements Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills Preferred Experience with aerospace machined parts, fasteners, inserts, studs, or similar hardware Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (JobBOSS a plus) Formal project management training (PMP a plus) Experience managing heat treat, plating, or special process suppliers Technical degree or related experience Pay:
