Required Skills & Experience
  • 8+ years of experience designing automated equipment in manufacturing
  • Strong experience with SolidWorks (CAD/CAE, PDM)
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with: ? Machine safety and risk assessments (SISTEMA preferred) ? Mechanical and/or electrical fabrication ? Discrete and web-handling manufacturing environments
  • Strong communication and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Bilingual in Mandarin and English Nice to Have Skills & Experience
  • Hands-on automation engineering background
  • Strong problem solver who can build custom solutions
  • Ability to lead projects and work across teams
  • Someone comfortable balancing design, execution, and site support Job Description This person will support manufacturing sites by designing, improving, and implementing automated equipment. The role focuses on building custom solutions, supporting projects, and driving automation improvements-especially within web-handling and discrete manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities
  • Design and improve automated manufacturing equipment
  • Support full project lifecycle (SOWs, design, build, testing, commissioning)
  • Partner with site teams to understand challenges and deliver automation solutions
  • Provide expertise in: ? Mechanical design and layouts ? Robotics, inspection systems, and automation ? Electrical systems and network architecture
  • Support safety efforts, including machine risk assessments
  • Help develop and roll out equipment and automation standards
  • Work with vendors to design, build, and qualify equipment
  • Support multiple projects at once as a technical lead
  • Assist with technology roadmaps and automation improvements
Compensation:
$130-170K Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
