Management/Supervisory Responsibilities:
Interview and hire drivers in accordance with company guidelines. Conducts assigned employee evaluations. Manages all assigned employees time off and attendance Deal directly with and document employee progressive discipline actions, including terminations. Conducts monthly safety meetings with drivers and plant personnel in accordance with company guidelines Upholds all company policies and procedures in accordance with company guidelines. Responsabilities Manage daily raw material inventory to ensure the plant has the proper capacities for current and next day orders. Accurately batch concrete using the Keystone Batch control system (will train) Maintains the highest standard of quality and safety in all areas of production. Conducts monthly safety meetings with assigned Drivers and plant personnel. Conducts Daily/Weekly and Monthly plant inspections and reports on any safety/mechanical or operational issues that are found. Completes daily reports as assigned by management. Responsible for KPI's at assigned location (production metrics) Responsible for all movements and actions within the plant property Responsible for inventory control of all raw material being used at the plant. Takes daily Aggregate moisture tests using multiple scientific methods. Maintains accurate records of environmental testing Required to work a schedule that varies week to week and often day to day Understanding of QC/QA in Ready-Mix Concrete Requirements Accurately batch concrete using the Keystone Batch control system (will train) Knowledge of concrete/construction industry Must be able to work as a leader in a team-oriented environment Must be FDOT Batch Plant Operator Certified or capable of obtaining the certification within the first 3 months of employment Must have General maintenance knowledge or acumen Strong Verbal and Written communication skills (fluent in English) Required to work a schedule that varies week to week and often day to day Required to work long hours during high volume time periods Must understand or be able to learn basic dispatch concepts Must be able to manage in a professional manner and deal professionally with all managers, employees, vendors and customers All other tasks, duties and responsibilities as assigned Must be able to handle high pressure situations while maintaining a professional composure. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum 3 years general ready-mix experience Minimum 3 years management experience (any field) Physical Requirements Willing and able to stand, sit, kneel, climb, and squat frequently or for extended durations of time as needed Must not be afraid of heights (climbing ladder rungs 50'+ vertically is required) Ability to lift up-to 50 pounds. Ability to work in a loud production environment Willing and able to work outside in the elements and varying temperatures and weather conditions
