Bilingual Spanish Plant Manager (Food Manufacturing) A full P&L owner in a commercial kitchen is the person fully accountable for all financial and operational outcomes of the kitchen — including labor, production costs, waste, production efficiency, and ultimately profitability. Key Responsibilities:
Meet goals for safety, quality, output, waste, and labor efficiency. Use KPIs daily to track performance and hold teams accountable. Train, coach, and support supervisors, leads, and production staff. Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, OSHA, and all food safety rules. Monitor equipment and coordinate repairs when needed. Lead and manage all plant operations including production, batching/compounding, sanitation, maintenance, warehousing, and quality control. Supervise, train, and develop a bilingual workforce; provide coaching, performance evaluations, and corrective actions when needed. Oversee production scheduling, staffing, workflow planning, and resource allocation to meet daily and weekly output goals. Monitor KPIs such as throughput, yield, downtime, waste, labor efficiency, and quality metrics. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance product consistency. Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and R&D teams to resolve production issues and support new product launches. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 5+ years of leadership experience in food manufacturing. Bilingual Spanish/English required. Strong leadership experience managing production teams in a fast‑paced environment. Proficient in SAP, ERP
systems, inventory management, and production reporting. Strong understanding of GMPs, HACCP, OSHA, and food safety regulations. Proven ability to manage KPIs (yield, downtime, waste, labor efficiency, etc.). Strong communication, coaching, and team‑building skills. Ability to lead a fast‑paced, high‑volume production environment. Solid problem‑solving skills and a hands‑on leadership style. Ability to work independently on an overnight shift with minimal supervision. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
