Job Description

PLEASE READ
•Friday-Sunday, 12‑hour shifts, paid for 40 hours. Will train on weekday mornings before moving to the weekend schedule. Eric'sons Dura Trench manufactures commercial and industrial drainage systems to customers throughout North America. The Ogden, UT plant primarily services customers in the western portion of the USA. The North American plants work together to manufacture complex architectural drainage system and provide one-of-a-kind solutions to our customers. Our clients demand that we work in many materials including metals, fiber reinforced plastics, thermoplastics, stone, glass, and wood. This makes the job exciting and ever changing to meet customer demands. Regarding duties and requirements, the
Assembly Department Manager:
Has responsibility for execution of Safety, Quality, On time Delivery, employee engagement, and Cost objectives within their department Maintains a strong focus on safe work environment, minimizing rework, and maintaining continuous improvement. Manages day to day work force and projects in their department Optimizes product flow and output rates to meet customer demands and drive cost improvements. Controls and maintain raw materials and inventory levels. Reports staffing needs to HR and the Plant Manager in order to support deliveries on time while maintaining efficient operations.
Experience, Skills, and Education:
High School diploma Manufacturing experience 2 years of leadership experience prefered Experience managing staff Demonstrated experience managing production environment Ability to read and understand construction plans Ability to show consistent use of the following competencies: delegating, clear and concise communication, composure, planning, multitasking, time management, decisive decision making, fairness, dependability, positivity, and integrity. Experience in plastics or fiberglass manufacturing is a plus Competencies for
Success:
Strong communication skills with employees and supervisors Ability to take concepts and apply them to new problems with creativity Detail oriented Ability to understand technical aspects of manufacturing metals, composites, mold making, woodworking, etc. Self-motivated and driven Conflict management and negotiation skills Ability to train, motivate, and coach employees Will be trusted by others for knowledge, competency, teamwork, and integrity.
