Job Description

The Operations Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing all aspects of manufacturing operations within a hydraulic component production environment. This role ensures efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective production through the implementation of Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Operations Manager will oversee machining processes, production planning, and cross-functional coordination to meet customer demand and operational goals. Key Responsibilities Lead daily manufacturing operations, including machining, assembly, and production support functions Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and process mapping tools Develop and implement standardized work, process flows, and operational best practices Monitor production metrics and KPIs to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are met Identify and eliminate waste across processes, improving efficiency and throughput Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to optimize production performance Oversee capacity planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet production demands Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production teams to build a high-performance culture Manage budgets, control costs, and improve profitability through operational excellence Support new product introductions and process validations within machining environments Implement root cause analysis and corrective actions for production and quality issues Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field preferred 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in hydraulic components or precision machining Strong knowledge of CNC machining, metal fabrication, and production processes Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred), and process mapping Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools Ability to analyze data, solve complex problems, and make strategic decisions Key Competencies Operational Excellence Continuous Improvement Mindset Leadership & Team Development Data-Driven Decision Making Process Optimization Strategic Thinking Work Environment Manufacturing facility with exposure to machining equipment and production floor conditions Regular interaction with shop floor employees, leadership, and cross-functional teams Why Join Us Join a growing manufacturing organization committed to innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
