Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets in coordination with Suntec's onsite construction team, with cycle-time discipline and minimal returns. Operate, optimize, and maintain Command Alkon (COMMANDbatch / Apex) dispatch, batching, and quality systems; champion adoption across operators and drivers. Direct dispatch of the 40-truck mixer fleet; coordinate driver schedules, route timing, and pour windows with Suntec field foremen. Manage day-to-day inventory and replenishment of Type IL cement, Class F fly ash, normal weight and lightweight aggregates (including Hess Pumice), and Master Builders Solutions admixtures. Equipment Reliability & Maintenance Own preventive and corrective maintenance programs across all plant and rolling equipment; achieve a minimum 95% plant availability KPI as defined by the Sunmat QBR program. Develop and maintain a parts inventory and PM schedule for batch plants, dust collectors, silos, water systems, conveyors, and aggregate handling. Manage vendor relationships with Erie Strayer, C&W Manufacturing, Kraft Tank, Sioux, OZB Engineering, BE Power Equipment, the Cat dealer of record, Haaker / Owen Equipment, American GeoThermal, and High Country Fusion. Lead root-cause analysis on unplanned downtime; close the loop with engineering and operations improvements. Quality Assurance & Quality Control Partner with the Director of Quality Control and the QA/QC Technical Advisor to execute mix designs that meet or exceed Micron specifications. Coordinate with the on-site concrete laboratory; ensure calibration, sampling, batch tickets, and ASTM-compliant testing are executed per protocol. Drive consistency in batch weights, slump, air content, temperature, and admixture dosing across all three plants. Hold operators and drivers accountable to mix-design integrity from silo to slab. Environmental Compliance & Permits Maintain full compliance with IDEQ Air Quality Permit P-2023.0026, including emissions monitoring, recordkeeping, and reporting; serve as Sunmat's day-to-day permit steward at the site. Operate the OZB CRS gray-water recycling system to permit and design intent; manage HDPE-lined process water containment integrity. Execute stormwater (SWPPP), spill prevention, dust suppression, and noise control plans; interface with IDEQ and EPA inspectors as required. Maintain audit-ready documentation across air, water, waste, and reporting obligations. Safety Lead a zero-incident safety culture aligned with Suntec's enterprise EHS program. Direct daily Pre-Task Plans (PTPs) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) using Safety Culture (iAuditor) digital workflows. Investigate incidents and near misses; drive corrective and preventive actions to closure. Coordinate with the Suntec EHS Director and the Micron site safety organization on training, audits, and behavioral observations. People Leadership Build, schedule, and develop a multi-shift team capable of 24/7 production support during peak Micron pours. Hire, train, retain, and develop hourly and salaried personnel in the Treasure Valley labor market. Champion the Sunmat / Suntec ESOP culture and embody the 2026 Year of Discipline and Accountability theme. Conduct performance management, coaching, succession planning, and employee-owner engagement. Customer & Stakeholder Management Serve as the primary day-to-day operations interface with Micron site personnel and onsite General Contractors. Provide a weekly operations recap to the Sunmat General Manager covering production, safety, environmental, equipment, QA/QC, and people metrics. Represent Sunmat professionally in client meetings, audits, and walkthroughs. Financial Performance Manage the plant operating budget; track and improve cost-per-yard performance. Approve materials, consumables, and maintenance purchasing within delegated authority. Deliver against the Sunmat QBR-based KPI program: Safety, Environmental, Plant Availability, QA/QC, and Gray Water Recycling. Identify margin-expansion opportunities through productivity, waste reduction, and contract optimization Required Seven (7)+ years of progressive experience in ready-mix or central-mix concrete batch plant operations. Three (3)+ years of supervisory or management experience over a multi-plant or high-volume operation. Demonstrated working knowledge of Command Alkon (COMMANDbatch / Apex) or directly equivalent batching and dispatch software. Hands-on experience with central-mix plants; Erie Strayer experience strongly preferred. Working knowledge of state air quality permits and stormwater regulations; IDEQ experience preferred. Solid understanding of ASTM concrete standards, mix-design fundamentals, and plant calibration practices. Proven safety leadership and a track record of low recordables / reportables. Valid driver's license and clean MVR; ability to pass background and drug screening, including any Micron site-access requirements. High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline. ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician — Grade I, or NRMCA Concrete Technologist Level 2 or higher. Prior experience supporting semiconductor, data center, mission-critical, or large industrial sites. Experience with Type IL cement, Class F fly ash, lightweight aggregate, low-shrinkage and high-performance mix designs. Bilingual English / Spanish. Prior P&L or budget ownership experience. The Batch Plant Manager leads day-to-day operations of three (3) Erie Strayer MG-12CP central-mix concrete batch plants located on the Micron ID2 campus in Boise, Idaho. This is a high-visibility, mission-critical role accountable for safely producing high-volume, specification-grade concrete in support of one of the largest semiconductor fabrication projects in North America. The Manager owns plant uptime, production throughput, environmental compliance, quality assurance coordination, equipment reliability, and the field execution of Sunmat's ESOP-driven culture. The Manager partners closely with Suntec's onsite construction leadership, the Director of Quality Control, the QA/QC Technical Advisor, and Micron's site team to deliver against an aggressive ramp schedule beginning with mid-August 2026 trial batch.
