Technical Proficiency Full Job Description Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator / Project Manager to lead the estimating, bidding, and execution of precast concrete projects from initial concept through final completion. This role combines technical estimating expertise with project management responsibilities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate has a strong background in precast concrete manufacturing, construction project management, cost estimating, and client relationship management.
THIS IS AN IN-HOUSE POSITION.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimating
  • Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents
  • Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for precast concrete products
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
  • Develop pricing strategies and bid proposals
  • Identify project risks, opportunities, and value-engineering solutions
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and client presentations Project Management
  • Manage awarded projects from contract execution through closeout
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, transportation, and field installation teams
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
  • Monitor project costs and profitability
  • Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and contract documentation
  • Maintain regular communication with customers, contractors, architects, and engineers
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements Leadership & Business Development
  • Mentor junior estimators and project coordinators
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Support strategic growth initiatives and repeat business opportunities
  • Participate in project review and continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications:
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of estimating and/or project management experience in precast concrete, concrete construction, or related industries
  • Strong knowledge of precast manufacturing processes and construction methods
  • Experience interpreting structural drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed Preferred
  • PCI (Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute) industry experience
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials
  • Experience with ERP systems and project management software
  • Knowledge of design-build and alternative delivery methods
