Job Description
The Director of Manufacturing leads overall operations across multiple manufacturing facilities and is responsible for production, scheduling, sanitation, warehouse operations, quality, safety, and related plant functions. This role works closely with Plant Managers and senior leadership to ensure efficient operations, strong product quality, and consistent performance across all sites, preferably within a bakery or frozen dough manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Oversee daily manufacturing operations across multiple facilities. Ensure products consistently meet company quality and food safety standards. Lead production, maintenance, quality, and sanitation teams to meet operational goals. Support a positive and accountable work environment while developing leadership within the plants. Work with senior management to establish operational goals, strategies, and improvement plans. Partner with Human Resources and Plant Managers to improve teamwork, communication, and employee development. Monitor production performance and use operational data to identify improvement opportunities. Improve workflow, labor utilization, and overall plant efficiency. Implement programs and processes that support productivity and profitability. Ensure compliance with OSHA, HACCP, USDA, PCQI, SQF, and Food GMP standards. Communicate operational issues or risks to leadership as needed. Assist with inventory management and resource planning across departments. Product Development & Technical Support Participate in new product development and production planning activities. Support R&D efforts focused on improving existing products and developing new items. Conduct baking tests and product evaluations to verify product quality and performance. Work with cross-functional teams on product trials and prototype testing. Provide technical product support and training when needed. Stay informed on industry trends, food safety practices, and food technology advancements. Contribute to ongoing improvements within the frozen dough product line. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing operations, preferably within food or bakery manufacturing. Multi-site management experience preferred. Experience managing small to mid-sized food manufacturing facilities. Bakery manufacturing experience is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of OSHA, HACCP, USDA, PCQI, SQF, and Food GMP requirements. Experience with inventory control, materials management, and production planning. Proven ability to lead teams and improve plant operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Pay:
$120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per yearBenefits:
