This role provides direct supervision, coaching, and development for production employees while ensuring production schedules, quality standards, KPI achievement, and customer requirements are met. Working closely with Maintenance, Quality, Scheduling, and other departments, the Production Manager helps optimize workflow, improve performance, reduce downtime, and support continuous improvement. Position Profile The ideal candidate is a hands-on, on-the-production floor leader with strong judgment, communication, and problem-solving skills. This individual must be able to lead people, drive results, and maintain a safe, accountable, and team-oriented work environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and timely completion of work, meeting KPIs. Establish and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance expectations using key performance indicators such as safety, quality, productivity, and delivery. Lead, coach, mentor, and develop production employees to promote accountability and strong team performance. Assign work, monitor workflow, and adjust labor and production priorities to meet operational and customer requirements. Coordinate production schedules to ensure goals are achieved on time and within established standards. Support employee development through coaching, cross-training, and timely performance feedback. Partner with Maintenance to support preventive maintenance efforts that improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime. Review and improve departmental procedures, work instructions, forms, and related documentation. Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of production staff. Train employees on revised procedures, policies, safety expectations, and operating requirements. Lead department meetings to communicate priorities, review performance, and address operational issues. Maintain accurate records and reports; use data to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Enforce compliance with company policies, safety standards, quality requirements, and operating procedures. Foster a respectful, collaborative, and team-oriented work environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a medium- to high-volume manufacturing environment. Bilingual required (Spanish/English). Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience will be considered. Management or team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment required. Strong leadership, coaching, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across departments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other Windows-based applications, including Outlook and Excel. Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision. Work Environment and Physical Requirements This position is based in a manufacturing environment and requires regular presence on the production floor. The role includes both floor supervision and administrative responsibilities and may require standing, walking, and direct interaction with employees and equipment throughout the shift. Personal protective equipment is required in designated production areas in accordance with company policy and safety requirements.
