Harvard, IL Position Summary:
The Performance Excellence Practitioner drives implementation of the ADM's Performance Excellence System (PE) across a TPM pillar framework consisting of: Safety, Quality, Environment, Proactive Maintenance, Daily Equipment Care, Focused Improvement, Continuous Colleague Development, Workplace Organization, Material and Information Flow, Early Equipment Management, and New Product and Technologies. This position will be focused on driving improvements in revenue and driving costs out of the business through the development of efficient processes and eliminating non-valued added activities utilizing a zero-loss mindset. This position will work closely with our manufacturing plant teams, operations directors, and functional leaders to drive loss elimination.
Core Competencies:
Able to work in a principle-based organization that leverages ADM's core values and PE System to create significant value based on eliminating losses. Engage with Operations Director and VP, Manufacturing on regional loss elimination activities and planning. Must be a team player and strong leader with the ability to influence organizational change. Demonstrate leadership, high personal standards, strategic vision, and professional ethics. Must have the ability and desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment and be a self-starter and successful in working without close supervision while implementing our standards. Strong interpersonal skills and track record of leading and implementing change. Educate, communicate, and work with all levels of manufacturing, including senior leadership, plant leaders, and shop-floor colleagues. Plan, lead, and facilitate meetings and working sessions. Direct and lead multiple initiatives at once. Align with site leadership on loss plans and processes. Build and implement detailed project plans. Utilize computer skills necessary to build presentations and spreadsheets. Able to develop processes, procedures, and training packages to effectively train others.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related Technical or Industrial field. 8+ years of experience in manufacturing operations. Willingness to travel 60-80% of the time across plant operation locations. [
Note:
this position is expected to support multiple manufacturing sites.] Working knowledge and practical experience applying Continuous Improvement principles and processes within the manufacturing environment. Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to manage change, develop others, and strategically plan for continuous improvement leveraging appropriate pillar processes. Highly effective facilitation and project management skills. Ability to effectively assess situations and make appropriate decisions in a timely manner. Strong influential leadership skills. Superior written and verbal communication skills. Analytical mindset and ability to understand and organize data. Train local PE Managers, Operators and Plant Leadership in ADM's PE System. Strong problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience implementing TPM in batch and/or continuous manufacturing processes. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or above. Experience using enterprise ERP and loss understanding systems. Is willing and eager to learn and grow with the company while having future leadership aspirations.
