Assistant Plant Manager - Lean Manufacturing We are a rapidly growing manufacturer in Savoy, IL seeking a hands-on Assistant Plant Manager with strong Lean Manufacturing experience to help lead operational execution and implement scalable continuous improvement systems. This is a high-visibility role for a leader who thrives on the production floor, builds strong teams, and knows how to translate Lean strategy into measurable plant performance. What You'll Own Support and lead daily plant operations (production, quality, safety, maintenance) Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, SMED, Kanban, Visual Management) Improve key plant metrics: OEE, scrap, cycle time, labor efficiency, throughput Identify and eliminate waste across manufacturing workflows Develop frontline supervisors and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement Strengthen KPI reporting and operational dashboards Support production planning and capacity scaling Partner with Plant Manager on strategic operational initiatives What We're Looking For 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience Proven track record implementing Lean Manufacturing in a production environment Strong knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies Demonstrated success improving OEE and operational performance Hands-on leadership style with strong floor presence Data-driven problem solver Experience in a growth or scaling manufacturing company preferred Why This Role?
