Our showroom and manufacturing facility are located outside of Chicago, where craftsmanship meets precision every day on the production floor. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a driven and experienced Production Manager to lead our manufacturing team and ensure every piece that leaves our facility meets the exceptional standard our clients expect.
The RoleAs Production Manager, you will be the backbone of our manufacturing operation. You'll oversee daily production from raw material to finished product, manage a skilled team of craftsmen and laborers, and work closely with our design and sales teams to keep projects on time and on spec. This is a hands-on leadership role you'll be in the shop, on the floor, and in the details.
ResponsibilitiesOversee all daily manufacturing operations for cast stone and GFRC productsPlan and manage production schedules to meet project deadlines and client delivery windowsLead, mentor, and hold accountable a team of production workers, finishers, and laborersMaintain and enforce quality control standards at every stage of productionCoordinate with design and sales teams to review shop drawings, specs, and custom requirementsManage raw material inventory, supplier relationships, and procurementIdentify and drive process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce wasteEnsure proper equipment maintenance, shop safety compliance, and OSHA standardsTrack and report production KPIs to ownershipAssist in hiring, onboarding, and training production staffOversee crating, packaging, loading, and logistics coordination for outbound deliveriesSafety trainingTrainingYou Must Have37+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing management roleExperience in cast stone, GFRC, precast concrete, masonry, or a closely related trade strongly preferredProven ability to lead a team, manage schedules, and hit deadlines in a production environmentStrong understanding of quality control processes and finishing standardsAbility to read and interpret shop drawings and architectural plansSolid organizational and problem-solving skills you stay calm under pressureExperience with inventory management and basic procurementProficiency in computer tools (Google Suite, scheduling software, inventory systems)Physical capability to work in a manufacturing environment; comfortable being on the shop floor dailyA hands-on, lead-by-example management styleBonus PointsExperience with mold making, casting, patching, or surface finishingFamiliarity with AutoCAD or 3D modeling softwareBackground working with luxury or custom product manufacturersExperience coordinating with freight carriers or managing LTL/crating logisticsWhat We OfferCompetitive salary commensurate with experiencePerformance-based bonusesEmployee discount on productsStable, full-time MondayFriday scheduleA collaborative, creative environment where your work directly contributes to nationally recognized, high-end projectsOpportunity to grow with a company that is expanding its reach nationally
