Butler Indiana Our client is looking to hire an Assistant Plant Manager for their team! Our client is a leading service center in providing steel products and services like blanking, slitting, and toll processing to various industries! The Assistant Plant Manager would be responsible for assisting the plant manager with hiring, managing, and training all scheduling, production, maintenance, shipping and receiving personnel. Qualified candidates would need experience within the Steel Service or Metal Industry, within a supervisory role, and with Crane and slitter machines.

Job Requirements Job Responsibilities:

• Hire, manage and train all scheduling, production, maintenance, shipping and receiving personnel
• Responsible for retention and development of employees
• Continuously improve production processes
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and operational
• Ensure the consistent execution of all SOPs throughout the plant
• Maintain safety and quality standards including

ISO 9001

2015 standards

• Negotiate with suppliers on plant purchases
• Cost management for all plant purchases
• Approve scheduling of production jobs to meet customer due dates and achieve maximum efficiency
• Responsible for achieving production goals for volume and quality
• Accurately quoting of new production jobs
• Maintain loading times for outbound shipments

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years work experience in Steel Service Center or Metal Industry
• Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role
• Experience with Crane and Slitter Machines
