  • Full-time Job Summary Park Aerospace is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Manager
  • Composite Parts to lead our Advanced Composite Parts and Assemblies production team.
In this key leadership role, you'll oversee people, processes, safety, and quality—ensuring production meets schedules, standards, and customer expectations. You'll collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, drive continuous improvement, and play an active role on the management team in shaping and executing our strategic business objectives. If you thrive in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and enjoy leading teams to excellence, we want to hear from you. This position reports in person to our facility in Newton, Kansas. What You'll Do Lead, direct, and support all assigned composite manufacturing personnel Ensure complete traceability through accurate documentation and Oracle transactions Track and manage time‑ and temperature‑sensitive materials to prevent expired material use Maintain flexibility to support production needs, including occasional weekend coverage Oversee and support all composite operations, including: Kit cutting Laser projection Lay‑up Autoclave/oven operations Press cure operations Build a strong, collaborative, and accountable team culture Oversee training to ensure compliance with SOPs, equipment operation, and safety standards Maintain a safe work environment for employees, visitors, and contractors Ensure every order meets quality standards while driving continuous improvement Monitor production to minimize scrap and improve efficiency Plan and manage improvement initiatives and clearly communicate progress Control labor costs, overtime, and departmental expenses Promote shop floor organization, cleanliness, and pride in workmanship Additional Responsibilities Perform other related duties as assigned to support operational success What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field 3+ years of experience in composite parts manufacturing Working knowledge of: Kit cutting Lay‑up Assembly Bonding Tool preparation Ability to read and interpret blueprints and both technical and non‑technical documentation Experience working in AS9100 and NADCAP environments Proven success in fast‑paced, high‑accountability manufacturing settings Strong leadership drive with the ability to execute under tight timelines Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills A balance of strong technical knowledge and hands‑on manufacturing experience Benefits & Perks We offer a competitive benefits package designed to support your health, financial well‑being, and work‑life balance, including: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays Company‑paid life and disability insurance
