Job Description:
Camco Chemicals is seeking an experienced and results?driven Plant Manager to lead daily operations across the Blending, Packing, Plant Services, and Inventory Control departments. This role is accountable for ensuring safe, efficient, and high?quality production while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
Operational Leadership
  • Oversee day?to?day operations in Blending, Packing, Plant Services, and Inventory Control.
  • Ensure production schedules are met safely, efficiently, and within quality specifications.
  • Direct department managers/supervisors to align staffing, workflow, and resources.
  • Lead daily production meetings and cross?functional coordination. Team Management
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management.
  • Develop training programs to build team capability.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable work environment. Safety & Compliance
  • Champion a safety?first culture.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and quality standards.
  • Support audits, inspections, and corrective actions. Quality & Continuous Improvement
  • Drive process improvements to optimize efficiency and product quality.
  • Implement Lean, 5S, or similar improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to maintain reliability. People Management Production & Inventory Control
  • Ensure accurate inventory management across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Customer Service.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and drive root?cause analysis. Performance Management & Reporting
  • Track and report key operational metrics.
  • Develop annual budgets and manage operating costs.
  • Support strategic planning.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years in manufacturing operations (chemical preferred).
  • 3+ years supervisory or management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of safety standards and production systems.
  • Proven leadership and communication skills.
  • Chemical blending/packaging experience.
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification.
  • ERP/MRP system experience.
