About SiPhox Health SiPhox Health is building a next-generation, silicon-photonics-based blood testing platform that brings advanced clinical diagnostics into the home. Our technology integrates precision optics, microfluidics, and immunoassay chemistry into a compact system capable of generating laboratory-quality biomarker results from a small capillary blood sample. We are now building the manufacturing engine behind this platform, from early production through scale. The Role We are looking for a Head of Manufacturing to build and lead our manufacturing organization from the ground up. This is not a maintenance role, it is a systems-building role . You will define how we produce, how we scale, and how we maintain quality and speed simultaneously. You will own everything from early production workflows to multi-shift operations, working closely with engineering to translate a complex, high-precision product into a robust and scalable manufacturing system. What You'll Do Build the Manufacturing System Design and implement end-to-end manufacturing processes for cartridges and instruments Define production workflows, line layouts, and capacity planning Establish scalable assembly processes for microfluidics, optics, and reagent systems Stand Up Operations Build and lead the manufacturing team (operators, technicians, leads) Establish shift structures, training systems, and operational discipline Create a high-performance, accountable production culture Drive Throughput & Scale Own output, yield, and cost targets Identify and remove bottlenecks across the production flow Scale from early builds to sustained, high-throughput manufacturing Quality & Systems Implement structured manufacturing practices aligned with regulated environments (GMP, ISO 13485) Build documentation systems (SOPs, work instructions, traceability) Partner with Quality and Engineering on validation, verification, and process control Cross-Functional Leadership Work closely with Hardware, Assay, and Systems Engineering teams Translate evolving product designs into manufacturable processes Provide feedback to improve design for manufacturability (DFM) Supply Chain & Materials Oversee materials flow, inventory strategy, and supplier coordination Ensure production readiness through disciplined planning and forecasting What We're Looking For Required 7+ years experience in manufacturing, with significant time in a leadership role Proven track record of building or scaling manufacturing operations Strong understanding of process development, yield improvement, and throughput optimization Hands-on mindset-you can go from strategy to the floor and back Preferred Experience in medical devices, biotech, semiconductor, or other high-precision manufacturing Familiarity with microfluidics, optics/photonics, or cartridge-based systems Experience scaling from prototype/low-volume to production Experience in regulated environments (GMP, ISO 13485) What Success Looks Like A manufacturing system that is repeatable, scalable, and disciplined A team that can execute with speed and precision Clear visibility into yield, throughput, and cost drivers The ability to scale without chaos Why Join SiPhox?
