Are you with us?!? The Production Manager, Finishing has overall responsibility for the material handling, roll wrapping, packaging, and plant logistics as well as managing the plant rolling fleet. The Production Manager, Finishing ensures the achievement of all safety, quality, productivity, environmental, cost, and people development objectives. The Production Manager, Finishing also monitors critical KPIs measuring their areas of responsibility and implements the appropriate corrective measures to address deficiencies, utilizing continuous improvement techniques.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Following Ahlstrom's manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures and policies, as applicable, to the position's areas of responsibility, in order to meet and maintain the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paper. Leading the Material Handling, Roll Wrapping, Packaging, and Plant Logistics areas Manages the plant rolling fleet Serves as a liaison between customer service and outside warehousing Leading the year end physical inventory process Leading continuous improvement efforts in their work area, writing and achieving annual budgets by Business Unit area and developing capital plans to achieve short and long term performance goals. This person is responsible for the management, training and development of the hourly crews in their area in a unionized environment. Weekend duty and on call requirements
Education Requirement:
Bachelor's degree - in Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Pulp/Paper Engineering, or related field Or equivalent industry work experience
Work Experience:
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis Minimum of three years of paper mill experience, or similar manucaturing work experience preferred. Supervisory experience, along with continuous improvement skills are preferred.

Must possess a safety mindset Demonstrated ability to lead and develop people Proven leadership record of accomplishment Exercise a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work in a team environment Ability to manage and prioritize multiple critical assignments simultaneously Must possess good written and verbal communication skills Must possess good teamwork, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and conflict management skills Demonstrated ability to establish and meet budget Fluent written and spoken English Ability to quickly learn JDE, ParcView, DSI, and Microsoft Office Suite Comfortable working in a union environment.
