BSEE, BSME, MBA or equivalent experience. Minimum eight years previous experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with shop drawings, plans, schedules, prints, and specifications. Proficient with MS Office Familiarity with business information systems Responsibilities Responsible for implementing, overseeing, and managing specific major contracts and/or program(s). Provide leadership as the primary point of contact for major programs in order to establish and nurture a service- based approach to customer engagement, and to facilitate and grow relationships through consistent, clear communication and contractual execution. Introduces quality and productivity enhancements through verbal and written recommendation to COO and Sr. Leadership. Works with materials department to develop periodic inventory planning to support on-time delivery for internal metrics and customer contractual requirements. Collaborates and communicates with Sales group to participate in formal launch of new RFQs/RFPs, this includes working to obtain files, clarification of information with customer POCs, and responsible for executing to the statement of work requested of us, and the quote sent to customer. Works with internal and external customer to establish and agree upon expectations, frequency of communication, roles and responsibilities, business rhythm, etc. Directs the integration of a Program Management team which may include Purchasing, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and administrative functional areas. Issues weekly internal status to COO and Operations Staff. Works with materials staff to optimize inventory and materials costs to ensure alignment from quoted costs to purchased cost. May assist in developing alternative sources of materials. Knowledgeable in the following areas:
quoting costing information, presentations, literature, follow-up, and other activities as needed to support further increased bookings with the Business Development Manager. Works with Engineering staff to coordinate engineering activity for new parts, revisions/changes, and quality/productivity enhancements. Hold weekly (minimum) updates with customer on order status and visit with customer at least quarterly to review performance, versus customer expectations. Establish formal objectives, corrective action process and measure actual performance vs formal objectives. Provide Sales personnel with up-to-date status of customer orders, critical activities, problem issues, and booking opportunities. Initiates internal ECO process and obtain purchase order from customer related changes. Facilitates determinations of associated costs. Facilitate the resolution of purchase order cancellations and obtain customer payment for any non-required and excess material liabilities created by the cancellation. Request support from the Sales Account Manager to resolve any liabilities over $1,000 associated with ECO request, purchase order cancellations, and Kit BOM materials. Also, elevate any material liability greater than $3,000 to the CFO/Director of Operations. Has engineering authority to sign off on matters of ECN/MRB. Familiar with ISO and GNP.
