Job Description

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are hiring an experienced Plant Manager to lead all production operations at our Baltimore foodservice facility. This is a high-impact, highly visible leadership role responsible for safety, quality, yield performance, and labor efficiency across multiple shifts in a high-volume poultry processing environment. You will lead Production Managers and partner closely with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Procurement, and Warehouse/Distribution teams to ensure customer requirements are met with consistency and excellence.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Production & operations Lead day-to-day production operations and drive performance across all shifts Own key metrics: yield, throughput, labor efficiency, and waste reduction Ensure all products meet customer specifications, portioning requirements, and quality standards Monitor production performance and take immediate corrective action to close gaps Safety & compliance Champion a strong safety culture and hold all levels accountable for safe work practices Ensure full compliance with OSHA, company safety standards, and all regulatory requirements Quality & food safety Maintain and enforce SQF, GMP, and HACCP programs Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance Maintain strong working relationships with USDA representatives on-site Service levels & customer execution Align production with customer demand; support fill rates, order accuracy, and on-time delivery Maintain consistency and reliability to meet foodservice customer expectations Leadership & workforce management Lead, coach, and develop Production Managers, supervisors, and frontline employees Foster a high-performance, accountable work environment with strong employee relations Ensure staffing levels align with production and service demands across all shifts Maintenance & reliability Partner with Maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and minimize production disruptions Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs Financial & continuous improvement Drive cost control, yield improvement, and labor management to hit plant-level financial goals Partner with the Continuous Improvement Manager to execute improvement initiatives Reinforce standardized processes and a culture of operational accountability
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
7+ years of experience in poultry processing or food manufacturing Proven track record leading production teams in a high-volume, multi-shift environment Strong knowledge of yield management, labor performance, and production metrics Solid understanding of food safety regulations:
USDA, HACCP, SQF, GMP
Experience in a customer-driven or foodservice environment preferred Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

$135,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
