Job Description:
We are seeking a Vice President of Manufacturing to join FR Conversions, a Tide Rock portfolio company specializing in best-in-class specialty vehicle manufacturing and upfitting. This leader will have ownership of manufacturing and production for the business and partner with the CEO and executive team on the growth strategy of this rapidly expanding business. The ideal candidate brings extensive hands-on experience in specialty vehicle manufacturing and a proven track record of owning end-to-end production operations. This is a critical hire as FR Conversions scales and will require a seasoned operator who can build structure and drive accountability across the organization. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Westminster, Maryland.
POSITION AND SCOPE
Responsibilities:
Own end-to-end manufacturing and production operations and drive execution in partnership with the CEO and executive team. Establish consistent processes and standards that instill accountability and operational discipline across the organization. Lead the scaling of manufacturing operations to support the company's continued growth. Identify and execute initiatives to improve production efficiency and throughput. Serve as a key cross-functional partner to senior leadership while maintaining clear ownership of all manufacturing and production outcomes. Professionalize the manufacturing organization by introducing best practices, lean manufacturing principles, production system, and structure befitting a high-growth business.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Extensive hands-on experience in specialty vehicle manufacturing and end-to-end production operations. Proven track record of scaling manufacturing organizations and driving meaningful operational improvements. Demonstrated people leadership experience, having had direct responsibility for production, materials, and scheduling functions. Strong history of building and leading high-performing manufacturing teams. Deep experience operating in a rigorous quality environment with a disciplined approach to production standards. Track record of operating as a true strategic partner to the CEO and executive team.
