Bilingual-Food Manufacturing Sanitation Manager Muskegon, MI 49441 $65,277.73 - $70,140.93 a year - Full-time $65,277.73 - $70,140.93 a year - Full-time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Food Manufacturing Sanitation Manager to oversee and coordinate cleaning and sanitation operations within our food production facility. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards, manage sanitation staff, and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient manufacturing environment. This leadership role requires a strong background in cleaning, custodial services, and management within a food manufacturing or related setting. The Sanitation Manager will play a critical role in maintaining product quality, safety standards, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Supervise sanitation staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management to ensure high standards of cleanliness. Coordinate cleaning activities for production areas, equipment, and facilities using appropriate cleaning methods and chemicals. Oversee janitorial tasks such as laundry, custodial duties, and general housekeeping to maintain a hygienic environment. Conduct regular inspections to identify areas needing improvement or corrective action. Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste materials in accordance with safety protocols. Maintain detailed sanitation records and documentation for audits and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with quality assurance and production teams to address sanitation-related issues promptly. Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to cleaning processes and facility maintenance. Qualifications Proven supervising experience in custodial services, commercial cleaning, or hospitality management. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively. Background in cleaning, janitorial services, laundry operations, or housekeeper management is highly desirable. Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation regulations within the manufacturing environment. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards. Ability to train staff on proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures. Experience in managing large-scale cleaning operations in a food manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred. Strong communication skills to coordinate across departments and ensure compliance with all safety protocols.
