Base Salary + Performance Bonus/Profit Share Lead Manufacturing Operations at a Growing Company We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead manufacturing and fabrication operations in Muskegon, Michigan. This is a hands-on leadership role for a results-driven operations professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about safety, production efficiency, continuous improvement, and team development. As Plant Manager, you will oversee day-to-day plant operations, improve production processes, drive operational KPIs, and build a high-performing culture focused on accountability, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will play a critical role in scaling operations and strengthening the performance of production teams. Plant Manager Responsibilities Manufacturing & Production Leadership Lead daily plant operations including production, fabrication, scheduling, quality, safety, and workforce performance. Oversee manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, consistency, and high-quality output. Monitor and improve operational KPIs including: Throughput First-pass yield Scrap and rework reduction Schedule adherence On-time delivery and installation Spend significant time on the production floor coaching teams and supporting execution. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement Drive lean manufacturing, process improvement, workflow optimization, and operational scalability initiatives. Develop accountability systems, production planning processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Identify opportunities for automation, equipment upgrades, and facility improvements. Support capital investment planning and operational growth initiatives. Leadership & Team Development Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and production team members. Build a culture centered around safety, teamwork, ownership, and continuous improvement. Lead performance management, employee engagement, and workforce development efforts. Partner cross-functionally with leadership, operations, and sales teams to improve communication and customer experience. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with OSHA, HSE, and workplace safety standards. Proactively identify and resolve workplace safety concerns. Reinforce a culture where safety is a top operational priority. QualificationsRequired Experience 7+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, plant management, or production leadership. Proven success leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong experience with:
Manufacturing operations management Production scheduling KPI management Continuous improvement Team leadership and employee development Experience managing labor planning, operational budgets, and production efficiency initiatives. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational leadership skills. Hands-on leadership style with the ability to lead through change and growth. Preferred Qualifications Experience in countertop manufacturing, stone fabrication, building materials, or related industries. Experience with CounterGo and Moraware software systems. Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to regularly work throughout the production facility and manufacturing floor. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds independently and up to 60 pounds with assistance. Ability to work in a physically active, fast-paced manufacturing environment. Frequent computer use, communication, and repetitive hand/wrist movement.
